Ruben Guerra

Managing Partner

Ruben serves as Managing Partner at Guerra & Casillas LLP, where he represents employees and individuals in employment law, personal injury, and workers’ compensation matters. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and has been licensed to practice law in California since 2013.

Before co-founding Guerra & Casillas LLP, Ruben worked at a large plaintiff-side firm where he saw clients being treated impersonally and cases handled without the individualized attention they deserved. Wanting to make a change, he started his own practice before partnering with Tizoc Casillas, who shared his vision for client-centered advocacy. Together, they founded Guerra & Casillas with the goal of providing high-quality, compassionate representation that upholds dignity and justice for every client.

Ruben’s approach to advocacy is personal and grounded in empathy. He strives to ensure that every client finds both justice and a sense of empowerment through the legal process through “a very human approach”.

Outside of work, Ruben enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, experiencing new cultures, singing karaoke, horseback riding, visiting gun ranges, and exploring top-rated taco spots in every city he visits.
